Mr. Yugan Pillay is a Consultant Paramedic with the HMC Ambulance Service and is a registered Emergency Care Practitioner (Critical Care Paramedic) with a Master’s degree in Emergency Medical Care. He is currently completing a PhD in Emergency Medicine at the University of Cape Town. With over 20 years of experience in the pre-hospital environment, Mr. Pillay has a keen interest in trauma, emergency airway management and paramedic clinical decision making. He is currently involved directly in clinical quality improvement within the trauma care pathway.
